A Cat Named Hagrid

Hagrid came into my life when he was 8 weeks old and boy was he cute. He was born on September 20, 2001 in Riverview, FL. Well he may not be as cute anymore, but he sure is grouchy. He is also really big and fluffy and his entire life he has had ridiculously large whiskers.

He may seem grouchy to everyone else, but he is always sweet to me and has even learned to love Luke. He actually looks for Luke just as much if not more than me. He also has us trained very well.

Since we have gotten Leroy Hagrid has become grouchier if that is possible. He does let Leroy give him baths, but has never returned the favor. He becomes noticeably happier when Leroy is not present for any length of time. This is Leroy when he was little.

A Little Bit About Erin

I grew up in Florida and have lived here my whole life besides a year in Pennsylvania during college. I love to travel and have been to the Caribbean, Costa Rica (twice), Canada, and Africa.
I earned both my B.S. and M.S. from the University of Florida. GO GATORS! And now I work for the University of Florida as faculty. I am the Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent for Duval County and love it so far.

My hobbies and interests include anything with plants, history, and music. I enjoy outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, paddling, etc. We have a cat named Hagrid and now Leroy too and a horse named Vanity.
